Privacy Policy

Your data never leaves your phone. Gravity has no user accounts, no cloud database, no analytics and no advertising.

Gravity is a personal finance app built on a simple principle: your financial life is nobody’s business but yours. We cannot see your data, and neither can anyone else.

What Gravity stores — and where

Everything you enter or import — transactions, accounts, budgets, goals, bills and EMIs, lend and borrow entries, tags, receipts and settings — is stored only on your device, inside the app’s private, OS-encrypted storage. Deleting the app deletes this data.

What Gravity sends over the internet

One thing: an anonymous request to the public exchange-rate service frankfurter.app to fetch currency rates (for example INR to USD). That request contains no personal or financial information. There are no other network calls — no telemetry, no crash reporting, no tracking of any kind.

SMS access (Android only)

On Android you may optionally grant SMS permission so Gravity can read bank transaction messages and log expenses automatically. Parsing happens entirely on your device; message contents are never transmitted anywhere. The iOS app contains no SMS functionality. You can revoke the permission at any time in system settings.

Notifications

Bill reminders, budget alerts and summaries are local notifications, scheduled and delivered by your phone itself. No push servers are involved.

Face ID and biometrics

The optional app lock uses your device’s biometric system. Gravity only receives a yes or no result — biometric data itself never reaches the app, by Apple and Google platform design.

Backups

You can export a backup file of your data at any time. That file goes only where you choose to put it. Your device’s own system backup (iCloud or Google) may also include Gravity’s data, governed by Apple’s or Google’s terms.

Your rights and deleting your data

Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to hand over, sell, or lose. To erase everything: Settings → “Erase all data” inside the app, or simply delete the app.

Children

Gravity does not knowingly collect data from anyone — including children — because it collects no data at all.

Changes

If a future feature ever changes any of the above (for example, optional cloud sync), this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the app will ask for your explicit consent first.
